The Kings Arms Inn is a traditional 16th Century Grade II listed thatched and whitewashed former Coaching Inn nestled away in the Blackdown Hills area of Stockland, Devon. An impressive flagstoned walkway entrance greets you on your arrival, and a medieval oak screen and an original bread oven are just some of the magnificent features you will find here as well as the long standing reputation for fine dining and fine wines. The relaxed atmosphere of The Farmers Bar is where you will find the locals enjoying local real ales such as Otter and Exmoor alongside popular keg beers like San Miguel and Carlsberg. In the winter, the village skittles teams will be busy practising and competing in local matches. Whether dining in the main restaurant or the atmospheric Cotley Bar restaurant. The Kings Arms Inn offers a range of imaginative dishes which (wherever possible) are locally sourced, and freshly made on site. On the blackboards expect to find dishes such as Sea Bass, Pan Fried Cod with Clams and Smoked Bacon or Scallops with Black Pudding and Beetroot Puree. We also have on our Menu Steak and Guinness Pie and Roasted Butternut Squash and Spinach Pie made with Parmesan Pastry. At lunchtime we serve dishes such as The King 8oz Burger with Cheddar and Red Onion Marmalade or Lambs Liver with Crispy Bacon along side favourites such as Ham Egg and Chips and various Ploughmans and Sandwiches.
